Innovating the Commercial HVAC & Custom Fabrication Industry: A New Era for Custom Mechanical Equipment (CME)

Introduction:

Custom Mechanical Equipment (CME) has long been a staple in the commercial HVAC and custom fabrication industry. Since its inception in 1999, CME has been dedicated to innovation, providing top-tier products and services to a diverse clientele. As we step into 2024, CME is proud to announce a significant milestone that marks the beginning of a new chapter in our journey.

A New Chapter in 2024:

In early 2024, CME experienced a transformative change in ownership when Erik Peitz acquired the company. Erik’s vision for CME is clear: growth, development, and product excellence. This vision aligns seamlessly with CME’s long-standing mission to innovate within the manufacturing industry.

The year 2024 has already proven to be a period of transformation for our third-generation, family-owned business. We’ve undergone a comprehensive rebranding, including an updated logo, a newly redesigned website, and the addition of new staff members. Alongside these changes, we’ve refined our manufacturing processes, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Our team at CME is excited about the future. We’re focused on expanding our product lines, growing our business partnerships, and continuing to provide the excellent customer service that our clients have come to expect. The journey ahead is filled with opportunities, and we’re committed to seizing each one to solidify CME’s position as an industry leader.

Project Spotlight: Technology Support Center, Olathe, KS

One of CME’s recent projects exemplifies our commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. The Technology Support Center in Olathe, Kansas, originally built in 2014, was designed with a full VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) system. By 2023, the building management was exploring alternative HVAC options to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

After careful consideration and consultation with Brian Rose at Rose and Associates Engineering, it was decided that the existing VRF system would be replaced with two CME gas/dx multizone units. This decision has had a profound impact on the building’s energy usage.

Since the installation of the PMZ multizone units, the Technology Support Center has experienced a reduction in energy usage of over 21%, translating to an annual savings of more than $12,000 in utility costs. This project not only highlights the effectiveness of CME’s products but also underscores our dedication to helping clients achieve their energy efficiency goals.

Conclusion:

At CME, we’re not just about providing products; we’re about delivering solutions that make a difference. As we continue to innovate and expand, our focus remains on offering high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers.
